Application Developer
We have an immediate opening for an Application Developer in our Los Angeles office. The Application Developer position is expected to maintain multiple new and existing custom applications and processes and be able to multi-task between different projects simultaneously. This position must also adhere to department development standards in a qualitative manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Designs Web/ASP.Net/ASP.NET Core, Rich Client, Mobile applications, databases and back-end worker processes.Implements new projects and requirements from scratch using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Proactively coordinates and works closely with their manager for guidance on architecture and design validation, project statuses, timelines and communications with clients.Analyzes, identifies and resolves complex programming issues and production support tasks in accordance with firm Service Level Agreements.Responsible for keeping pace with the emerging development technologies and performs research independently.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Job Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Minimum of 5+ years of extensive and proven programming experience with C#, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, Telerik controls, TSQL and HTML5 in web (ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core) and .NET rich-client technologies.Bachelor s Degree and Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area of study strongly preferred.Familiarity with agile software development integrating best qualitative practices and standards in program design and development.Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and Microsoft Azure DevOps.Experience with application development in a Microsoft ecosystem including Active Directory, Windows-2019 web servers, IIS 10,.NET Framework 4.8 and Microsoft Azure DevOps, Web Services, API, encryption, and application/data security.Experience developing on MS SQL 2019 server platform and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) with Transact-SQL programming and best practices; clear understanding of advanced database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs and methodologies.Familiarity and experience with classic ASP programming using Visual Basic and ActiveX controls in order to provide production support for legacy products or rewrites.Familiarity/experience in developing mobile applications on Apple iPhone, iPad and Android platforms.Experience with full application development life cycle, including transitioning applications from development to QA and to production environments observing change management procedures and protocols.Experience working with business analysts on project requirements, scope, quality assurance during different phases of project life cycle.Ability to handle programming projects of intermediate and advanced complexity.Ability to work independently on assigned projects as a project lead with minimal supervision and to successfully multi-task and consistently deliver high quality services.Experience with software version management and asset control.Ability to create project documentation at source code, implementation and end-user levels.Willingness and ability to proactively communicate with peers and management on project status, project plans, deliverables and timelines, and to facilitate effective team interaction and brain storming sessions.Ability to recognize improvement opportunities in systems and applications, to implement effective solutions with out -of-the-box thinking, and to actively contribute to the team knowledge base.Vacancy expired!
