Originally established in 1957 in a highly classified effort to understand the Soviet missile threat, PWW remains an integral and recognized part of the intelligence community.Join a small team of intelligence analysts in the International Launch Systems office of PWW to support missile warning, missile defense and other programs. Be the "truth squad" where your influence is only through the relevant data and analysis that you can apply to a problem. Unconstrained by organizational or disciplinary boundaries, identify and solve hard intelligence problems that impact current and future customer missions. Anticipate and articulate future threats, develop and recommend courses of actions. Monitor huge volumes of intelligence data and assessments, become an expert. Work closely with, but independently of, intelligence community and contractor counterparts. Document and defend your results.This position will be located at the Los Angeles Air force BaseWhat You'll Be Doing- Analyze foreign missile and space launch systems, characterize launch system performance and capabilities
- Use science and engineering to interpret all-source intelligence data and develop models of missile flight characteristics and signatures
- Identify and resolve shortcomings in intelligence assessments or inappropriate applications of those assessments
- Provide threat analysis to support missile warning and missile defense system development, test and operations
- Develop new analysis methodologies and tools to fuse intelligence data and address data uncertainties and gaps
- Maintain currency with foreign missile and space launch system developments and collaborate with intelligence community experts to improve threat assessments and models
- Prepare and present technical briefings and reports and participate in defense and intelligence community technical interchanges
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physical Science or Math with a minimum of 2 years applicable experience
- An interest in or aptitude for performing systems level analyses with sparse and/or varied data
- A background in the analysis or simulation of space or missile systems
- Experience in engineering disciplines such as propulsion, guidance and control, aerodynamics, signatures, trajectory reconstruction/design, or parameter estimation
- Strong computer and programming skills; FORTRAN, Matlab/Python, UNIX, and PC development experience
- A demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly technical writing
- Possess or be eligible for a Top Secret clearance and SCI access
- Ability to Travel
- Advanced degree
- Prior experience and familiarity with military and intelligence community organizations
- Current TS/SCI
