Cisco Voice Network Engineer - On-site

Job Overview

The Voice Netwowrk Engineer (Cisco VoIP) supports the planning, deployment, implementation, and on-site field support for our users via our Cisco IP telephony infrastructure. Responsibilities include system adds/moves/changes, troubleshootings user issues, incident management, creating and updating runbooks, and engaging with other vendors to resolve issues as well as system updates/upgrades etc. Providing detailed system reports and tracking all incidents (repair issues) as well as changes (new adds/moves etc).

Responsibilities and Duties

Much of the work of the Cisco VoIP Engineer will be split between project-based efforts and operational support. This position works independently with vendor-partners on technology products and services to ensure smooth operations. Must be able to work in team environment in which constant communications is shared between team and manager.

The Cisco VoIP Engineer also coordinates with other groups within IT to resolve multi-disciplinary issues-specifically with the WAN and LAN engineers on technical issues that span these domains.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager).

  • Hands-on working knowledge of enterprise complex multi-cluster design, integrating CUCM (Call Manager), Unity Connections, Cisco Emergency Responder and Cisco UCCX.

  • Ability to support and troubleshoot ACME Oracle Session Border Controllers and Enterprise Operations Monitoring Tool

  • IPCC and related applications - Cisco IOS T1-PRIs/Gateways/MGoogle Cloud Platform/SCCP/SRST/SIP

  • Cisco ISR Cube integration via SIP Trunk

  • Cisco QoS for VoIP - Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN communications

  • Cisco Jabber and Expressway.

  • SIP Third Party Devices

  • CCNA Collaboration and or CCVP

  • Working knowledge of CDR analysis and SAI (billing integration)

  • Working knowledge of Reliatel and Unimax
