Sr. Technical Architect

Top Requirements:

  • Hands on trouble shooting and problem solver- be able to ask the right questions
  • Source code is in Java so they need to modify the source code within SQL
  • Must have a strong experience in finance and accounting system since this is the applications for the licensing system that tracks financial data.
  • Needs to be able to foster relationship with the Inf team
  • Will be interacting with the business users, needs to be able to manage third parry vendors
  • Fast learner, very complicated system needs to get up to speed fast.
  • System is 24/6- no Saturdays so there is a possibility of on call if cast members are not available, need to be accessible.
  • Level 2 and 3 support in place
Using a packaged Intellectual Property Management (IPM) system to manage its global licensing revenue accounting. The Lead Technical Architect will work with the vendor, business analyst, software engineers, QA analyst, and other shared infrastructure resources across multiple teams to deliver solutions and support to the IPM system. The individual needs to have a cross-system perspective of solutions that span multiple disciplines (Revenue Accounting, ERP - SAP, Contract Lifecycle Management). The Lead Technical Architect will focus on the following key responsibility areas: Technical Leadership, Solution Development, and Production Support while interacting with onshore and offshore resources, the vendor, and global business partners.

Primary Responsibilities Technical leadership (30%) Become an expert of the current IPM application and its upstream and downstream integrations Create, review, and approve functional designs with the software vendor and internal developers, taking impact to other systems into consideration (systems integration) Collaborate Cross Teams - Infrastructure, Database, Data Science and Engineering, Level 2 Support, Regional support teams, etc. Solution Development and Production Support (70%) Work with appropriate teams to find solutions to complex cross-system problems (Contract Management System, Royalty Ingestion System, and Revenue Forecasting System, etc.). Participate in a production on-call rotation and support the business users during non-US hours Lead root-cause analysis efforts to resolve day-to-day production issues that are escalated from Level 1/Level 2 Support Teams As needed, develop Oracle database scripts to fix/clean data issues

Qualifications: BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technology fields Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills with attention to details in highly complex systems Excellent communication abilities - written and oral - to technical and non-technical audience Excellent database skills (SQL and stored procedures) in Oracle and SQL Server 5+ years Java/J2EE experience Broad background in web application architectures Web Application Server - IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, and JBoss Strong working knowledge of Finance / Accounting Systems Must have intellectual curiosity Must be a fast learner
