Neonatal Intensive Care Center. We are a Primary Stroke Care Center and

STEMI Receiving Center, both of which are approved by the Los Angeles

County Emergency Medical Services Agency.GENERAL PURPOSE:Assesses patient and family health problems and resources. Takes a

leadership role in the development, implementation, and outcomes

evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team.

Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient

populations.This position requires providing care and service to a neonatal patient

population. The associate is responsible for providing age appropriate

care to acutely ill through normally healthy patients in a manner that

demonstrates an understanding of the functional and development age of

the individual served.This position requires the full understanding and active participation

in fulfilling the Mission of St. Francis Medical Center. It is expected

that the associate holding this position will demonstrate behaviors

consistent with our core values and will comply with all required

standards governing our commitment to Compassionate Care, Exemplary

Service and serving our patients. The associate holding this position

will support St. Francis Medical Center's strategic plan and all

essential elements of Quality Improvement and Financial Stewardship.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certifications:

Current California RN license

Current BLS-C and NRP (AHA) cards

Work Experience:

One year acute care experience preferred, preferably in an NICU or

NB Nursery Current

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Basic computer skills

Physical Demands:Must continuously (66% to 100% of a work day):

Standing to do patient care

Walking on tile floors

Must frequently (33% to 66% of a work day):

Twisting and bending of the neck forward and backward

Sitting to do patient care and documentation

Wrist rotation and deviation

Pushing wheeled equipment

Must occasionally (11% to 33% of a work day):

Make use of bilateral upper extremities and hands in reaching above

shoulder level

Lift and carry a minimum of 4 lbs. Stoop and squat to do patient

care
