E-Commerce Merchandiser

Job Description

The site merchandiser creates and curates best-in-class digital assortments and shopping experiences on Skechers eCommerce. The Site Merchandiser is responsible for developing and executing product strategies that maximize sales, margin, and inventory turnover. You will be responsible for driving strategic execution for the buying strategy, buying process, forecasting, product lifecycle management, recap analysis, and storytelling on Skechers eCommerce while adhering to company strategies.

• Assort, buy and merchandise the best possible selection of footwear for Skechers.com
• Create a compelling and easy shopping experience while driving increased sales
• Collaborate with manager and team on site presentation strategy across divisions to ensure categorization, sequencing, and cross selling are optimal and customer facing
• Provide analysis for strategy development and sales performances
• Use key buying reports that help evaluate business goals and ensure findings are considered in strategy establishment, current sales trends, inventory positions, opportunities, margin and sales goals
• Review promotional activity analysis to maximize key learnings
• Acquire solid understanding of the “big picture” by analyzing brand/division performance on the site
• Steer and implement product mix according to share of business, share of categories, gender mix, etc. from Ecom
• Partner with Merchandise Manager to create seasonal product assortments and buy quantities for our US and Canada Ecommerce site for specific divisions of business that roles up to meet the broader department goals
• Partner with planning and store counterparts to manage product lifecycle across channels
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure product and storytelling are coming to life as expected to drive conversion and exceed customer expectations

• Attend pre-season assortment meetings and provide product feedback and forecasts to influence assortment
• React quickly to trends by identifying reorder opportunities and utilize selling analysis to determine markdown strategies and in-season inventory management
• Continuously flex to learn and create a deeper understanding of the entire direct to consumer business

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, set appropriate priorities, and manage time effectively while paying strict attention to detail
• Strong integration skills, with the ability to coordinate all aspects of given projects
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a non-technical fashion
• Ability to identify issues, recommend and implement strategies to resolve problems
• Ability to prioritize and execute projects end-to-end
• Ability and desire to navigate fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency to drive meaningful results
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as an efficient team member

• Bachelors degree with minimum 2-3+ years of experience in ecommerce merchandising
• Experience analyzing and reporting in ecommerce merchandising performance to maximize sales growth
• Highly efficient in Microsoft Office- particularly in Excel.
