Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. SSSD has an opening for a Senior Principal Database Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our Space Park facility in Redondo Beach, California.The Senior Principal Database Architect will report to the Manager of Program Control under Business Management to Design, model, document and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. This role also requires the incumbent to analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications and may create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable ETL pipeline
- Design, model, document, and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications
- Analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems
- Develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications
- Create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance
- Design for relational and columnar databases such as SQL Server
- Develop data specifications (technical, structure and organization);Planning, Programming, Budgeting and/or Execution DoD processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematic (STEM) field with 9+ years of experience in database development, administration, integration of data and data visualization tools and framework OR Master's Degree with 7 years of stated experience
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI)
- Python programming experience
- Knowledge of MPM and/or COBRA
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI)
