SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - LEAD (NGBRSO-20-1509-W): Bowhead seeks a Senior Systems Administrator/Site Lead to join our Team at March Air Reserve Base, California. The candidate is responsible for managing all site personnel, Government and Corporate equipment, developing deliverables, and interfacing with the customer. Essential functions will include: • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all routine Systems Administration functions to ensure security requirements and operational goals are achieved. • Performing duties involving complex development, testing, implementation and maintenance of operating systems and related software. Establishing and implementing standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. • Troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system and networking problems. • Scheduling, performing, and monitoring system backups and when necessary, performing data recoveries. • Recommending hardware and software upgrades, according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts. • Evaluating, developing, and maintaining, telecommunication systems. Requirements • BA/BS degree preferred • 8+ years' professional experience • Understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice. • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English. • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
