Job Description:Leidos is building a foundational team to support a developing U.S. Air Force contract that will transform Information Technology support to Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance industry tools. Our team needs experienced Database Administration professionals at all levels to help develop, implement, maintain, and protect a streamlined, open architecture support model. Primary Responsibilities- Maintain the health and usability of database components of an Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (ISR) related multi-component system to ensure the databases are always available as required for mission execution.
- Perform maintenance and repair of databases and manages database services, such as data replication, Data Import/Export, Data Interfaces, and Data Standardization. Support planning, integration and sustainment actions for system upgrades, modification, and future growth. Ensure maximum up time and optimal performance for databases through proactive monitoring.
- Manage Database Security, ensuring that only authorized users have access to the database, thus fortifying it against any external, unauthorized access. Provide Database Tuning; optimizing any of several parameters to optimize performance, such as server memory allocation, file fragmentation, and disk usage. Initiate Backup and Recovery; ensure that the database has adequate backup and recovery procedures in place to recover from any accidental or deliberate loss of data.
- Produce Reports from Queries and support site personnel and others as required.
- These positions will require, at a minimum, a High School Diploma, 3-5 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Preferred; Additional Experience and education will be required for positions of increased responsibility.
- CompTIA certification,
- Security+ CE and IAT/IAM certifications IAW DoD Directive 8570.01
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Demonstrated Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, Oracle Solaris, VMware vSphere (Virtualization Management), EMC Isolon (Storage Management), EMC Data Domain (Storage Management) SVCC, Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Oracle, MySQL
