Position Overview:Applies working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, web frameworks and techniques. Understands common n-tier design patters (i.e. Model, View, Controller). Works closely with Solution Architects and Solution Architect Managers to build applications within vision. Adheres to departmental development standards. Validates understanding of customer requirements by building clickable mock-ups. Validates solution approach by developing prototypes. Mentors Developers in the development of enterprise n-tier web and client applications. Performs unit and integration testing of developed code. Partners with Application Developer Analyst to understand business and functional requirements. Conceptualizes solutions designed to meet business and functional requirements. Assists in translating requirements into technical design document, articulating approach. Assists in capturing consensus and signoff on technical approach. Mentors Software Developers in the translation of requirements to technical designs. Documents technical solutions for peer developers. Prepares document migration procedures for Operations. Assists in developing templates for documenting technical solutions. Assists in developing templates for code migration procedures. Adheres to all Enterprise Change Management (ECM) procedures per IS policy. Makes configuration upgrades. Identifies impact of enhancement requests. Assists customers to identify and resolve problems. Uses enterprise methodologies and guidelines for collecting business requirements. Follows procedures under approved policy. Provides users with highest quality service and escalates issues appropriately. May analyze, create and deliver reports as assigned. Deploys and monitors enterprise reporting solutions. Enhances and fixes existing applications. Participates in peer code reviews. Provides feedback in peer code reviews. Assists in establishing development of code reviews.Qualifications:Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a closely-related field of concentration.Experience Requirement: 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or in Computer related occupation.Alternate Education and Experience Requirement: N/ASpecific Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely-related field of concentration plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or in Computer related occupation. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience. Education or Experience must include five (5) years of experience in 1) Application development using SharePoint. 2) Web application development using ASP.Net & C#. 3) Design database solutions using SQL server. 4) Implement workflow solutions using Nintex Workflows. 5) Design UI components using Telerik controls and JavaScript. 6) Create service applications using Web services and WCF. 7) Integrate with line of business applications using BCS. 8) Project Architecture, Design and Estimation.
