In need of a Senior Windows Administrator for a 3 month contract with opportunity to extend to 6 months.

The position will be 98% remote in a preferred area with one or two maximum visits to the Data center in California or Arizona.

The tasks that will need to be completed:

PSN.LOCAL Windows Domain

  • Current Open Issues
  • Implement Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS)
  • Enumerate all Service Accounts and review usage
  • Identify Applications using Domain Service Accounts and local Service accounts and reconfigure using LAPS
  • Review uses of Weak Ciphers, SSL, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on Domain Controllers
  • Upgrade two Domain Controllers from Windows 2012 R2 Server to Windows 2019 Server. Windows 2012 R2 Server Extended End Date is 10/10/2023
  • Add one Domain Controller for use with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Migrate one Domain Controller in Data Center from Physical Server to Virtual Machine.
  • Review Local Account usage and make recommendations
  • Review Active Directory Sites and Services and make recommendations if any

Client Windows Domain

  • Open Issues
  • Implement Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS)
  • Enumerate all Service Accounts and review usage
  • Identify Applications using Domain Service Accounts and local Service accounts and reconfigure using LAPS
  • Upgrade two Domain Controllers from Windows 2012 R2 Server to Windows 2019 Server. Windows 2012 R2 Server Extended End Date is 10/10/2023
  • Add one Domain Controller for use with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Review GPOs, make recommendations to reverse policy sprawl/consolidate GPOs and plan changes
  • Review OU structure, make recommendations and plan changes
  • Review Local Account usage and make recommendations
  • Explore migrating stand-alone DNS to Active Directory Integrated DNS
  • Delete orphaned computers and users
  • Review Active Directory Sites and Services and make recommendations if any.
  • Networking and Active Directory experience.
