Head of Operations / Farm Manager in Cannabis Industry
We are a legal and compliant cannabis cultivator based in Kelseyville, CA and we're seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead and support the growth of the company.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Our growing company is currently in need of a responsible individual to fill the position of Farm Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the company's operations, manage staff, coordinate projects, communicate with all stakeholders while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and coordinate staff, contractors, systems, and activities to ensure optimal functioning of operations.
Ensure compliance with state and local law and legal compliance of cultivation procedures
Manage inventory and budgets
Develop plans and ensure milestones/goals are met and adhering to budgets and timelines
Work with lead cultivator to organize and document the daily process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation and trimming of plants
Work with lead cultivator to ensure that growth requirements of cannabis plants are consistently met (lighting, nutrients, etc.)
Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
1. Proven track record managing and leading an agricultural operation
2. Excellent project management skills
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4. Industry knowledge and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems preferred
