The Waldorf School of Mendocino County is seeking a loving and experienced Kindercare provider to provide daily after school care for our Early Childhood programs (preschool and kindergarten).
Responsibilities include: Plan and carry out daily activities appropriate to Kindercare, which my include rest time, snack, outdoor and indoor play; Ensure the health and welfare of each child; Maintain and keep accessible emergency and pick-up information for each child as provided by the office; Ensure all school policies, guidelines, and rules are followed relative to the children in aftercare; Maintain accurate attendance records for Aftercare participants, using the provided tablet; Clean and lock room used for aftercare at the end of the day, may be responsible for securing the campus and setting the alarm system if last to leave campus; Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Must meet California Department of Social Services community Care Licensing requirements for Fully Qualified Teacher; Waldorf training or other substantial experience with Waldorf Education; Prior experience as a child care provider; Child development education units as required by law; A commitment to Waldorf pedagogy; Strong communication skills; Flexibility, sense of humor, warmth of soul and spirit.
