Inventory Manager (Ukiah)

As a key member of the Operations team, the Inventory Control Manager reports to the General Manager. The Inventory Control Manager's primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate inventory control throughout the entire supply chain process from procurement to internal handling for production to final shipping to customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Supports plant operations to ensure quality products are produced to meet customer demand in a timely manner by overseeing the plants supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and productivity, which include;

MRP Planning

Material Procurement including plant supplies

Production Scheduling

Make ready preparation

Shipping / freight management

Inventory management “ timely and accurate recording of transactions, performing ongoing cycle counts and reconciliations to validate on hand balances and meet inventory turn objectives

Warehouse organization to ensure efficient and safe handling of materials as well as proper location and product rotation to accomplish FIFO inventory flow Serves as liaison between Corporate Scheduling and plant production, coordinating and communicating adjustments to daily/weekly production schedules with production manager as well as other supporting departments such as quality or maintenance to meet customer demand

Maintain current monitoring processes and reports.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years transferable work-related experience with inventory management responsibility in a management capacity.

Degree: Four-year Undergraduate Degree

Relevant qualifications a plus (e.g. CPIM)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proven Management skills

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Working knowledge of MRP planning, data analysis and forecasting methods

Analytical with very strong math skills and excellent attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel and Access
