Facebook Reality Labs Research is looking for upcoming scientists and researchers with great interest in algorithm development and hardware accelerators for image processing, machine learning, and computer vision applications, new sensing and computing architectures, and algorithm/hardware co-design.

  • Tuning image sensor operation to optimize sensor performance including SNR, power consumption, etc.
  • Image sensor characterization
  • New image sensor architecture exploration

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field
  • Experience with image sensor design or characterization
  • Experience with chip testing, familiar with testing equipment
  • 2+ years of independent research experience
  • Programming experience with Python, Matlab
  • Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
  • Familiar with pixel operation and timing
  • Knowledge of computer vision algorithms
  • Track record of publications with cutting edge research results at conferences and Journals such as ISSCC, IISW, IEDM, JSSC, TCAS
