Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: Join a forward looking cross-disciplinary team of designers, engineers, and artists who are passionate about prototyping future Portal experiences using emerging technologies to enable work and play — whether people are in the same room or thousands of miles apart. As an AR Prototyper, you will help us give form to an undefined future by conceptualizing and designing activities that promote meaningful connections in our products. You will be expected to use your full range of product, interaction, systems, and visual design skills, and require candidates have expertise in 3D interactive experiences (or games) and proficiency in Unity. This position is full-time and based in Menlo Park, CA.Required Skills:

Research, design, prototype (in Unity) and implement new features for our current lineup of products

Synthesize learnings and communicate them broadly to your cross-functional partners and the wider AR org

Design user flows and journeys that clearly articulate your designs

Clearly articulate your design decisions to internal stakeholders

Give and solicit real-time feedback from other designers, and continuously raise the quality and craftsmanship of the product

Work with your Product Management, Engineering, and User Research partners to contribute to product strategy

Deliver a well-executed, end-to-end feature or product that hits a high quality bar

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years experience shipping software products or 3D experiences

Experience with real-time 3D development such as Unity/C# or Unreal

Proven problem solving experience and experience overcoming challenges

Experience with shipping mobile, console, PC games or social and gaming platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 1 AR/VR product in your portfolio

Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Experience working with VR and new, emerging technologies

Game development experience across multiple surfaces (console, mobile, PC, VR, AR)

UI development experience in a 3D product

Experience with tools such as Maya, 3DS Max, etc.
