Role: Broadcast Operations Manager

Role Description: The

Broadcast Operations Manager must have at least 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities: - Act as the prime tech client representative for live events in front of internal and external clients and business partners to ensure the success and maximize the quality of the contribution - Anticipate, react to, and resolve technical and operational issues with urgency - Supervise booking operations and technical preparation of global class live events - Review, triage and investigative problems (root cause analysis) - Help improve processes (metric driven)

Qualifications/Requirements: - Minimum 5 years experience in an On-Air broadcast environment with strong understanding of the television production and distribution process - BA/BS degree - Concentration in Communications, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred - Experience in a live broadcast environment, with Master Control and familiar with production teams interactions - Network administration knowledge: - (1) Switching and routing knowledge - (2) Network monitoring / troubleshooting - Certifications in that area will be taken into account

Technical Experience in those Technologies: - SDI, IRDs, Encoders (Such as: Elemental, Harmonic, ClearCaster, Ateme, etc.), Video and audio encoding (Such as: H264, AAC, MPEG2, etc.), TS Transport stream, MP4 - Familiar with the online streaming world (example: FB live, Wowza, etc.) - Comfortable working with APIs - Ability to go deep in the technical broadcast contribution pipeline: Path (redundant, diverse), transcoding settings, captions/subtitles, etc. - Bias for action and obsession to improvement - Ability to work/select with different vendors hold them accountable to the highest broadcast standards - Desirable experience with programming languages (such as: C, JavaScript / NodeJS, PHP, etc.).

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
