Business Analyst - Analytics and Data Visualization with SQL and Tableau or PowerBI Location: Menlo Park, CA Summary: The person in this role is expected to perform the following activities on day to day basis:
- Work with client point of contact to develop project plans and track progress on currently running projects and ad-hoc analysis
- Work with the client team and cross functional partners to deliver regular reporting and improve existing processes & tools
- Work with the analytics team to execute changes to existing processes, reporting and tools
- End to end project management and ownership on key client initiatives like supplier forecasts, supplier performance metrics and supplier / category risk assessment processes.
- Use data to run ad-hoc projects including descriptive, exploratory, and inquisitive analysis to address specific business questions
- Create presentations, reports etc. to present the analysis findings
- Identify gaps in current solutions / analytics frameworks and suggest improvements to existing processes
- Business:
- Excellent client communication skills complemented by data and business understanding
- Stakeholder management (at least 4 years of engagement with business stakeholders)
- Project Management (at least 4 years)
- Ability to structure business discussions and scope out outcomes
- Educational Criteria:
- Bachelors / Masters degree in a quantitative discipline
- Technical:
- Hands-on experience in SQL (intermediate) or any of its variants (good to have)
- Advanced excel, dashboarding & visualization ex. Tableau, Power BI (good to have)
- Persona:
- Be highly motivated, hard-working and passionate about building better solutions
- Should be able to thrive is a very fast paced and dynamic client environment
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with the onshore and extended client.
- Ability to think through problems and challenge proposed / existing solutions
