Summary: Facebook’s AR/VR organization is seeking a candidate for the Electrical Engineering Intern role within its augmented reality hardware division. This position will be part of the Electrical Engineering team responsible for bringing to life the next generation of AR hardware. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you’ll be designing, implementing, simulating and debugging electrical circuits for future AR devices. You will gain exposure to the consumer electronics device design and manufacturing process.Required Skills:
Research, prototype, and implement development platforms for future AR devices
Work with senior engineers on architecture and critical component selection for new technology development
Drive schematic entry and board layout and participate in cross-functional design reviews
Support characterization, bring-up, validation and debug of new hardware designs
Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Experience applying electrical engineering fundamentals
Experience understanding, testing, debugging and troubleshooting existing hardware designs
Experience presenting and communicating data and results
Preferred Qualifications:
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Experience with professional schematic entry and PCB layout tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium
Track record of successful execution on project-based work through coursework or previous industry internships/co-ops
