Job Description

Inventory Technicians are responsible for providing the Astreya user experience. From order tracking, accessories management, managing hardware and accessory deployment to front line users, conference room maintenance and behind the scenes user setup - Inventory Technicians enabled over 70,000 staff around the globe. This is a team lead role to IT services working at one of the most amazing workplaces on earth.

Team leads have a very dynamic role in the environment that will change day to day. They are tasked with leading the team while performing technician duties, leading by example. Their role can be summed up by two primary objectives: Keep the team productive with strong performance, and keep both the team and manager informed. In order to meet these objectives, it is essential for a successful lead to adaptable and flexible as well as confident in their knowledge of defined process and policy.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee every aspect of team operations, including inventory and asset management, conference room preventative maintenance, and e-recycling
  • Provide task & project level guidance to the team
  • Support a complex and fast paced environment focused on video conference rooms with outstanding attention to customer satisfaction
  • Ensure audio and visual quality, troubleshooting any issues that may arise and any requests from meeting attendees.
  • Deploy and recover laptop and desktop images
  • Perform customer support for over worldwide users from IT accessory to workstation dressing
  • Use ticketing systems and reporting to monitor individual & team work accomplishments and to track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIś)
  • Lead & contribute to large scale global projects, escalation response, root cause analysis, & process improvement as needed
  • Provide input of performance and training needs for all aspects of team responsibilities; including timecards, scheduling & resource allocation, expense, admin, mentoring, training, individual & team performance improvement plans & quality of service delivered
  • Effectively communicate issues, escalations and potential problems to the (Service Delivery Manager) SDM and contribute to solutioning the same
  • Effectively interface with customer representatives from various stakeholders as needed per site
  • Travel may be required

Additional Duties and Responsibilities (in conjunction with SDM):

Performance Management

  • Conducting interim performance reviews.
  • Conduct Audits of Inventory & Operational standards
  • Evaluating and documenting job performance.
  • Issuing of employee performance objectives/improvement plans.
  • Training

Onboarding/orientation of new Inventory Technicians

  • Manage the training program/team (trainer, assessors, mentors) and sign off on duties as learned.
  • Evaluate Inventory Technicians and recommend retraining to the training as needed.
  • Technician task documentation/work-logs
  • Maintain consistent methods and practices across team.
  • Utilization of proper ticket parameters, completeness of ticket log, proper escalation.
  • Ticket/Task Audits.

Your experience and qualifications:

  • 2-5+ Years desktop support experience
  • Proven record of strong relationship building & leadership skills
  • Able to work in a large team with minimal supervision
  • Lead by example
  • Have a clear understanding of inventory service, its value to the client and what is required to create and deliver a high-quality user experience.
  • Have good written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Inventory Management system
  • Capable of providing an outstanding user experience
  • ITSM & Inventory management competencies or commitment to obtain relevant certifications
  • Can lift and carry 50 pounds or more of equipment safely, multiple times per day.
  • Interest in new technologies and IT career path

  • Your proven ability in leading regional / multiple sites.
  • You are cultural aware in leading multiple nationalities.
  • You are linguistically proficient in English and the local language.
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment.
  • You make sound decisions when faced with competing priorities.
  • You strive on results. You enjoy planning and executing the steps to achieve objectives.
  • Your past business IT inventory operations experience desired.
  • Your customer experience background desired.
