To support our transparency efforts, Facebook is looking for a Policy Communications Manager with experience at the intersection of communications and data analytics to join our Policy Communications team. This person will be responsible for launching Facebook’s Community Standards Enforcement Report and guiding additional transparency reporting efforts, coordinating Facebook’s Policy Communication’s strategic data initiatives, and working closely with our Policy, Data Science and Integrity teams to conduct data analysis in support of our global Policy Communications Team.Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, good data analysis skills, an ability to distill complex language in to plain-English and a strong interest in public policy.Required Skills:

Oversee communications around Facebook’s Community Standards Enforcement Report and drive our external strategy around our data transparency programs

Develop and create a wide range of communications materials including blog posts, communications plans, statements, briefing materials for executives and more

Manage in-bound press inquiries on a range of issues related to Facebook’s enforcement and transparency reporting

Create sustainable PR programs that help educate the press, policy makers and other groups on how Facebook works and our transparency programs

Coordinate Facebook’s Policy Communication’s strategic data initiative and act as a global escalation point of contact for the team

Work closely with Facebook’s Policy, Communications, Data Science and Integrity teams to prioritize and execute on policy communications-related data needs

Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Data Science, Integrity, Operations, Product, and Legal

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

10+ years of work experience in communications, marketing or business insights experience

Experience leading and scaling complex, data-driven announcements

Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving experience

Experience creating messaging materials, and working collaboratively with cross-functional groups including Legal, Public Policy and Data Science, particularly in the areas of consensus-building and persuasion

Experience with technology press, trade press, or related areas of expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

14+ years of communications, marketing or business insights experience

Experience distilling complex data or technology concepts into plain language

Experience cultivating media relationships with a wide range of reporters and bloggers

Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relations in fast-paced and ambiguous environments

Experience developing outreach programs

Agency or in-house experience

Knowledge of Facebook products and policies
