Title: R&D Technician Description:Assist in development new or updated robotic assisted medical systems, components, or products. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assembling, troubleshooting, testing electronic, mechanical components and systems
- Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining control software (SW) builds by working with remote SW engineers
- Set up and run electronics and mechanical bench tests on product or component functionality and to characterize their performance
- Installing and checking the functionality of new electrical and mechanical systems
- Repairing and replacing electrical parts as needed
- Performing regular maintenance checks
- Good understanding of electronics and mechanical principles and design
- Productive in tele-working environment
- Compliance with SOPs in regulated environment
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Proficient in Solidworks, Altium, PSpice, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- 20-40 hrs/week depending on capability, interest, and availability
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.
