Hi. I am a paralyzed man looking for a backup caregiver to help me out occasionally. I have two caregivers: one who gets me up and does my care in the morning and one who puts me to bed at night. What I need is someone to fill in when one of my caregivers' can't come in or needs a morning/night shift off. The shifts are normally 2 to 3 hrs long. Pay $15/hr.
I am paralyzed from my neck down and need help with all my basic needs. Morning care shift includes bed wash, range-of-motion stretches, dressing, transferring to wheelchair (using transfer machine), feeding and grooming. Also laundry, light housekeeping and occasional shopping. Night care shift includes preparing/feeding me dinner, transferring me to bed and setting me up for the night.
I am looking for someone who has flexible schedule, someone who may be available for 2-3 hours in the morning and/or evening whom could help out, occasionally on short notice. Prefer someone with some caregiving experience but willing to train the right person.
