Dairy Management position for a Progressive 2000 cow dairy.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
Minimum 3 years Dairy Herd management experience on a 1000 + cow facility.
Bi-lingual
Proficient in DC305, Pocket cowcard,as well as via email and/or text.
Strong work ethic.
Leadership skills
Herd health knowledge with the ability to oversee a successful transition period
Must take pride in Accuracy and attention to details
Be able to analyse a situation and solve problems in an efficient manner.
Central California dairy in search of a motivated, self starting dairy manager with strong work ethic willing to
lead by example in order to maximize the profitability of the operation. Successful candidate will be responsible
for managing herd inventory and culling decisions, by maintaining up to date protocols and procedures for all aspects of dairy operation. Require to work closely with ownership. Nutritionist and vet, in order to facilitate
optimum results in herd health, reproduction, production, as well as milk quality.
Responsibilities also include overseeing day to day operations, records entry, quarterly safety meetings and
maintenance records.
