Great full time, seasonal job! Employment is through the Processing Tomato Advisory Board. We inspect tomatoes from the loads that are being delivered to the processor. They stop at our dedicated inspection stations, and a small sample is conveyed to us from each load. Inspection stations are in Los Banos and Firebaugh. Most inspectors are needed for the Los Banos area. Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
Inspection begins around mid-July and runs until about mid-October, and proceeds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Inspectors would be assigned to work either day shift or night shift, typically four or five days a week. But, the hours and days can vary. There is a two hour training session before the season begins. A drug test is required.
Wages are $13.36 to $14.21, depending on proof of current auto insurance and a valid driver's license.
Note: We will only be available to take applications beginning on May 29th. Please apply at 110 G St., Ste E, Los Banos. Mon-Fri from 9-11am or 1-4pm only. We will not be able to take applications on June 11th or 12th.
