Clark Bros. Inc. is looking to fill the position of Diesel Mechanic. As the Diesel Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on our fleet of equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment. The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for service documentation, accurately order needed parts from vendors and various other tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Highly developed mechanical background with various construction or heavy machinery, specifically repairing hydraulics, electric systems, and diesel engines
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Own tools required to perform job
Exhibit strong teamwork, written and verbal communications skills
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on equipment repairs and maintenance
Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests
Training of mechanics as needed
Commute to job site to conduct equipment maintenance and repairs if needed
Utilization of computer applications and programs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment
Valid driver's license
Basic knowledge and use of office equipment and computer skills
WORKING CONDITION/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop
Safety training and PPE is required
Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
Salary is commensurate to experience.
