The Nursing Manager of Critical Care will lead an outstanding unit in one of Becker’s Great Places to Work, a medical center that has earned Five Star Ratings from Healthgrades, awards for its Cardiac Care and Interventional Services departments, and that has been recognized as a Top-Performer by The Joint Commission.

Among this hospital’s most prestigiously awarded departments, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been a model of efficiency, clinical excellence, and pride for the hospital. The Critical Care Manager will lead Nursing operations in an 12-bed unit that sees a wide range of Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Patients.

Reporting to the Administrative Director of Inpatient Services, who oversees Inpatient Medical Surgical, ICU, and Rehabilitation Services, the Nursing Manager will have an integral role in the operations of the Critical Care Unit. Supporting the Nursing Manager is a strong CCRN ICU Nurse Supervisor and two experienced Clinical Charge Nurses. You will also get to take an important role in developing clinical education for the unit in collaboration with unit-based and hospital-practice nurse educators.

The Nursing Manager of Critical Care will get to take a pivotal role in the clinical and administrative success of this unit. You’ll work with educators and inpatient leaders to help develop and codify standards and practices that keep this Magnet-journey nursing program at the forefront of the medical field. The CCU Nursing Manager will also get to serve as hospital-wide leader through optional participation in committees for employee experience, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement. Working in collaboration with leaders in finance and operations, the Manager will also get to make significant impacts on improving the operational efficiencies of this unit.
