- Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions including hiring and terminations.
- Oversees environmental health and safety programs, including OHSA, Cal-OHSA, IIPP, HMBP, ISO 14001 audit, HCP, etc., to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Completes and submits regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as required to ensure compliance.
- Leads and directs various compliance audits, analyzes deficiencies, and recommends remediation measures.
- Develops and delivers various safety or compliance training across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Oversees and directs the company-wide ergonomics program, including providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or workstation modifications.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding to comply with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulatory requirements, including OHSA and Cal-OSHA.
- Advanced knowledge of environmental health and safety principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to create reports, analyze data, and present findings.
- Strong communications skills in both verbal and written, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management.
- Strong understanding of all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Three years of experience in a supervisory role with related field.
- Five years of hands’ on developing and delivering environmental health and safety or industrial hygiene programs in a manufacturing or production environment.
