The responsibilities will include understanding business processes, understanding the software systems for retrieval, prepping and modeling data to build a data warehouse for supporting reports and Dashboards.The work will involve managing analytics projects but at the same time the person is expected to be very hands-on technical work. The candidate will analyze and propose solutions based on the platforms available at Varian and outside.The person will be playing a key role to improve efficiency of business processes through process re-engineering and redesign. Trains user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system. May work in conjunction with outsourcing functions. May work on department or cross-department teams. Adheres to company policies and IT governance processes. These may include SOX procedures, FDA procedures, IT security and project management processes.Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in utilizing one or more modern analytics tools such as Qlik, Salesforce Einstein Analytics, Power BI, Tableau etc. Experience in scripting with SQL or Python, extracting large sets of data, and design of ETL flows. Experience working with Data Engineering teams.Knowledge of cloud tools like Salesforce, AWS, Snowflake is plus. Ability to operate as the point of contact for the business partner. Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-trainingAbility to work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration skills to work with others towards the same outcome and drive results. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
