What You'll DoYou’re deeply motivated and skilled Software QA professional and encouraged to deliver and lead through others, as well as personally working to reach innovative solutions to business problems. You will interact with multiple teams and design, implement a solution. You're super thrilled to be the one responsible for power-on and bringing life to the most advanced networking system in the world. You would not hesitate to roll-up sleeves and have a ‘I will figure it out’ attitude.

You’ll drive a collaborative process with product managers to collect business requirements and translate them to technical requirements. You will build technical design and get it reviewed by key partners. Subsequently, the developer would develop the solution and validate the design and implement.

Wireless background is required, specifically knowledge of 5G. Knowledge of interfaces between networking elements like 5G RAN, and 5G Core is required.

In-depth experience in designing networking systems with RLC, MAC, PDCP layers of 5G RAN stack. Understanding of split RAN architectures is required.

Understanding the interfaces between RAN and Packet Core is required.

Experience with designing & implementing test automation framework is required.

Experience with system integration of End-end system is desirable

Experience with customer interaction for technical problem-solving is desirable.

Responsibilities:Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation 5G solution. Test, Automate and deliver new software and features for 5G systems. Day to day activities include testing 5G Packet Core, Automation, Performance/Stability testing, as well as talking to customer on field Trials and simulating customer-like scenarios with various 5G testing tools. 5+ years of experience with BS/MS in computer systems, software and architecture.

Expertise in 5G (RAN and/or Packet Core protocols) protocols

Participate in the functional validation of Cisco's next generation 5G core network

Design, Develop and execute overall end-to-end and functional area tests for 5G solutions

Design, Develop and execute automated test scripts for various functional areas

Interoperability testing with multiple RAN and device vendors

Should have good understanding of EPC virtualization, Core/Edge computing, Private LTE/5G networks and Cloud solutions

Should possess strong fundamental understanding of the 4G and 5G core network call flows and methodologies, including designing automation framework and develop test libraries.

Should possess excellent understanding of 3GPP network architectures for LTE and 5G, and the related 3GPP specifications

Should have strong understanding of various nodes in the packet core and their interfaces

Hands on experience with tools like Viavi TM500, Spirent Landslide, Ixia IxLoad or similar

Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Experience with Linux-based systems and network troubleshooting tools

Experience with networking and protocols like TCP/UDP, L2/L3 debugging.

Knowledge of cloud technology such as Open stack, VMware is a plus.

Experience in Programming/scripting skills in Python, Shell
