Wente Vineyards is currently seeking quality part time cooks to work in all 4 of our busy kitchens. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to build skill sets that will prepare them for future advancement in this very rewarding industry. We are looking for candidates who are interested in a career in culinary and who seek advancement opportunities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We focus on seasonal cuisine using local, fresh and sustainable products including those drawn from our onsite garden and our network of local farmers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Prepare and execute items under the direction of the Executive Chef and Management Team.

Perform daily duties in a safe and smart way to avoid injury and inefficiency

Keep kitchen neat, clean and orderly.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS: An overall understanding of all cooking methods and a passion for creating and delivering great food. The ideal candidate will possess the highest quality standards, a positive attitude, a flexible schedule and be able to adapt to new and possibly stressful situations. Attention to detail is a must.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a professional kitchen.

EXPERIENCE: We offer a great training program for entry level Cooks. Banquet and offsite experience is a plus, but not required.
