HVAC Maintenance Mechanic
Location- Ceres, CA.
Job Description:
-Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, machinery, and buildings. Keep the facility running in a safe and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
-Maintain, repair, and rebuild mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery
-addresses work orders for repairs and maintenance
-Determines the nature of the problem and makes any needed repairs
-Monitors all refrigeration and plant equipment
Works and Communicates with the Purchasing Agents to ensure needed parts are ordered and proper inventories are in place
-Keeps all maintenance and production areas in good order. Understands the importance of good housekeeping
-Assists other Maintenance Mechanics or HVAC in accomplishing all assigned tasks. Provide direction and training if needed
-Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and work in a manner consistent with all Corporate and Regulatory, quality and sanitation requirements.
-Follow all safety procedures before taking on any tasks
Perform any duty necessary for a safe, and efficient operation
Requirements:
-Must be flexible to work any shift and/ or days of the week
-Must be able to stand and be on feet for up to 72 hours
-High School Diploma
-Must be able to read, write, and speak english
-Ability to use simple math, adding, subtracting, and multiplication, and division
-Ability to take measurements
-Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment without supervision
-Ability to read and follow instructions
-2 years in a industrial environment
-Basic Electrical Skills
-Has a basic knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, and plumbing. TIG, Sanitary, Stainless Steel Pipe (purge welding)
-Must be able to understand and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and machinery
-Must have own basic tools
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Must be able to replace and repair defective machine parts, such as seals, bearings, belts, and various machine components.
