Permitting and Compliance Specialist Opening
Basic Resources, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Permitting and Compliance Specialist at
our Modesto Office.
The ideal candidate will be a natural at building relationships, have impeccable organizational skills, and
will take our compliance department to the next level.
Responsibilities for this position include information gathering, preparing and timely filing of:
Farm evaluation surveys,
Food compliance, Farm Water Rights, and Land Management reports,
Documentation for the California Department of Conservation (DOC) and the Department of Mining,
The annual Division of Mining Reclamation (DMR) reports,
The Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA) mining reports,
The annual Financial Assurance Cost Estimates per DMR SMARA requirements,
Reports for the California State Lands Commission for properties subjected to their authority,
SMARA Financial Assurance Bonds for mining operations,
Annual Traffic Impact Fees (road mitigation data),
Reports for State Lands Commission,
Annual aggregate reports for submittal to appropriate County Assessors Office,
New Mine Report applications for SMARA requirements.
Additionally, the successful candidate will work with our accounting team to ensure that all annual fees are paid on time.
Requirements for the position include:
Familiarity with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and EIR/Negative Declaration Process
Land permitting entitlement experience
Flexibility to provide occasional support and assistance to general environmental concerns and other tasks as
they come up.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Capable to work independently and interdependently to achieve specific goals along with the ability to write a
variety of materials using original or innovative techniques or style.
