Digital Solutions Systems Lead (Embedded)Monrovia, CA Direct Hire DOE

Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality design and build of Digital platform hardware and software to enable the digital transformation of company products. Architect level implementation experience with the design, implementation and operation of a full-scale digital platform architecture from asset connectivity, to data aggregation and normalization, to integration to other enterprise technology systems such as the Web portal, back end systems, and phone App. Will define and maintain reference Architecture.

Required Skills:
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in IoT Embedded Software and Network architecture
  • Must have embedded programming (C, C or Python)
  • Strong knowledge of Hardware boards and Chips
  • Good experience with custom boaard such as ARM Processor, Micro-Controller boards, Raspberry Pi, Aurdino, etc.
  • Exposure to working on protocols SPI, I2C, UART, DMA, timer and interrupts and worked with peripherals LEDs, LCDs or sensors
  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems like Embedded Linux or VxWorks and knowledge in Network architecture - OSI Layer
  • Experience with Communication Protocols Wireless LAN, Ethernet, Switching, Bridging, VLAN, xSTP, IP, Routing protocols
  • Experience in AWS & Azure cloud resources
  • IoT MQTT or general publish/subscribe knowledge and experiences
  • Good knowledge of Cloud VPNs and networks
  • Very good understanding of sensor to gateway/cloud connectivity solutions like GPRS/3G/4G, WLAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, 6LoPAN, and network configurations (Firewalls, Subnets)
  • Good understanding of DMZ environments and VPN tunneling & Proxy experiences
  • Good knowledge in troubleshooting the network and IoT boards connectivity with debugging skills
  • C & Python basic coding and troubleshooting experience is an added advantage.
  • Experience in configuring, troubleshooting of Linux environment
Bonus Skills:
  • Hands on experience with Flash Tools and JTAG Debugger
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other)
  • Knowledge of industry tools including Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
