Job Details

• Review blueprints, plans, installation manuals, training videos and wiring diagrams without assistance.• Have capacity to install AND configure equipment.• Have in-depth working knowledge & familiarity with "tools of the trade".• Can be trusted to work independently, meet project deadlines and manage time effectively.• Pull, terminate and test all types of low voltage cabling.• Can troubleshoot and think outside the box on the fly with little to no supervision.• Consistently communicate and update Operations team in a timely manner & provide status updates in real time including documentation of work performed.• Can complete field service tickets as assigned and maintain reliability to resolve customer issues.• Adheres to project budgets for time & materials• Working knowledge of security cameras, access control, commercial audio & video equipment, data/phone lines, and other low voltage projects and can effectively integrate all components.• Can utilize resources available and collaborate with other team members when necessary.• Exhibits ability to make sound judgements independently.• Develop innovative solutions, be a self starter and take direction well.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:• Low Voltage/Construction experience (3+ years).• Knowledge of CAT-5, CAT-6, RG6, RG59, fiber optics and other cables.• Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, commercial audio/video, VoIP/data, and nurse call systems.• Experience with computer networking systems including routers, switches rack-mounts and workstations.• Excellent attention to detail.• Ability to adapt and be flexible.• Sense of urgency and expedition of time sensitive issues.• Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.• Self-starter with strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills.• Responsive and accommodating to requests made from internal staff, and client representatives.• Must have excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.• Ability to read and interpret project contracts and plans.• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office & Project Management software.QUALIFICATIONS:• A valid driver's license is required• Must possess a high school diploma or GED• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred• Experience with project management systems• PMP certification a plusLICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:Possession of a valid Class C California's Driver's License with a good driving record.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/A.D.A• Ability to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and other office equipment• Ability to read, interpret and prepare written communication• Ability to prepare reports, maintain logs and records• Ability to sit for two hours or more at a time• Ability to climb a footstool or ladder independently for the purposes of installing equipment & cabling.• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds• Ability to work in confined spaces.• Ability to get from one location to another independently in the course of doing business
