We are a small group of restaurants and hotels in need of a full charge bookkeeper with in-depth experience with QuickBooks. This is a full time position and is focused on data entry of sales data, vendor invoices and semi-monthly payroll for two companies. Please highlight your experience in QuickBooks when applying.
Responsibilities would include:
Entering daily sales reports into QuickBooks Memorized Transaction Templates
Posting vendor invoices and preparing weekly check runs
Interfacing with management and vendors on payables
Running semi monthly payrolls; submitting payroll taxes through QuickBooks
Reconciling bank accounts on weekly basis
Preparing monthly Profit & Loss Statements for the various companies
Work with CPA at year end to prepare tax returns and K1s
Prepare and maintain all year-end W2s and 1099 MISC for contractors
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum five years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in hospitality
Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks, including Enhanced Payroll
Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
Knowledge of preparation of W2s and 1099 MISC
Knowledge of preparation of Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
Compensation would include:
This position will start as hourly with a one-month training period, after which the employee will be considered for a salary position with benefits.
