Position Summary: Member of the Payroll/Human Resources team which performs payroll accounting and administrative duties to support the Payroll and Human Resources department. Ensures accurate processing and recording of payroll (piece-rate and hourly). Complies with all state and federal regulation as it pertains to timekeeping, tax payments and any garnishments or levies. Assists Payroll Supervisor and other team members in all levels of payroll/HR related tasks to provide the best customer service to the employees and management. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team member responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll for over 800+ piece-rate or hourly employees

Must be able to review timecards, compute piece-rate calculations, compute wages, reconcile wages, overtime and other types of pay with extreme accuracy and compliance

Assist in the maintenance of employee records and adhere to all state and federal laws

Post, update and reconcile all employee related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.)

Resolve any issues/questions by Supervisor or other parties in a timely and professional manner

Assist in the preparation, process and filing of all statutory reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly (Tax Returns, Workers Compensation Payments and other items)

Be willing and adaptable to assist in other departments within the organization

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in processing payroll in the agricultural related field, a must

Knowledge of Famous, a plus

Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish/English, a must

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

Must be respectful, honest and demonstrate strong work ethic

Computer literate in Microsoft Office-good knowledge of Excel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

100% of time performing job will be in an indoor office environment with the majority of that time spent sitting at a desk working in front of a computer monitor

High use of communication either through telephone of one on one communication

Noise level in the office is low with temperature levels between 65-80 degrees

Maybe required to lift up to 10 lbs. Bending, stooping, reaching all a probability
