Carmel and Carmel Valley Ace Hardware are part of the Scarborough Lumber family company that is located in the Santa Cruz mountains. We are a third generation owned and operated company that focuses on the local communities in which we serve.
We work with professionals and homeowners to help them with their home and garden projects ranging from paint matching to drip irrigation systems.
Our store is located in the Crossroads shopping center off of Highway 1.
We are open every day including most holidays.
We have appealing store hours for Retail:
Monday-Saturday 7:30am-6:00pm, Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm
Our sales associates must be have a positive attitude, enjoy working with others, and have strong customer service skills.
The Sales Associate will be accountable for:
Engaging with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
Laying out best fit options to customers
Cashiering as well as working on the floor
Stock work- able to lift up to 25 lbs., stocking days are twice a week
Cleaning- keeping the store clean and neat
Cash handling
Multi-tasking (answering phones, greeting customers, etc.)
Key Qualifications:
Must have a fun, upbeat, and outgoing personality and love talking to people
Able to work and stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift
Experience in basic household or garden projects a bonus
Willingness to learn
Time management skills
Strong communication skills
Team Player

Able to work weekdays and weekends
