We are seeking an enthusiastic tasting room host to join our small team in Carmel Valley! The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with new people, provides exceptional customer service, and has excellent communication skills. The candidate must be articulate, detail oriented and self-motivated. This is a part-time position, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am 6pm. $20/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcome guests and wine club members
Answer incoming phone calls and guest/member questions
Conduct wine tastings
Promote the wine club
Wash and polish glassware
Operate cash registers / iPad POS System; Daily reconciliation
Assist customers with carry out of purchases to car when necessary
Assist with events
General upkeep and tidying of the public areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
An Interest in wine, wine knowledge or willingness to learn
Prior tasting Room and iPad POS experience preferred; OrderPort experience a plus
Energetic, personable, exceptional customer service skills
Professional attitude and a strong work ethic
Ability to work as a team and independently; self-motivated and ability to multi-task
Detail oriented; Ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift up to 40lbs
Must be 21 years of age
Must be available to work weekends, some Holidays and occasional events
Bi-lingual a plus, but not necessary
