Under general supervision, performs skilled journey-level work in maintaining, repairing and installing electrical equipment; reads and understands electrical blueprints; makes electrical installation decisions. Must be able to keep detailed notes on job and do material take offs. Trouble shoot and repair motors and their controls, overhead and underground electric services. Familiarity with 120 through 480 volts. Familiarity with single and 3 phase power. Must know how to install meter cabinets, disconnects, and transformers. Must be able to bend conduit
Minimum qualifications
Knowledge of the electrical code; standard practices, materials, tools and equipment of the electrical trade. Knowledge and ability to recognize hazards and work in a safe manner.
Must possess valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must have reliable transportation and show up on time.
Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to lift and remove objects up to 90 pounds. Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions and to work in confined space areas. May be required to work weekends.
Pay based on skills and experience.
Must provide current DMV printout and resume in response.
