Goodwill Central Coast is looking for a person to review and confirm suitability for e-sale books and other items forwarded by processing; publicize book availability; provide efficient order fulfillment per defined procedures. This position is full-time, benefits eligible, andÂlocated at our headquarters in Salinas, CA.Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Review and confirm suitability for e-sale of books and other items by re-scanning items pre-scanned in processing.

Research, review and post donated items for sale with online vendors (such as e-Bay).

Organize items to be shipped; pack and coordinate timely shipment of orders to complete fulfillment.

SECONDARY DUTIES

Receive books into inventory, print locator slips and place on shelves.

Cull aged books from shelves using a pick-list.

Review reports as necessary to monitor progress and inventory.

Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQD: None.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Six months previous clerical, processing or shipping/receiving experience, or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: General Familiarity with Goodwill Central Coast's mission and general Company policies and procedures (this may be learned on-the­ job).

Familiarity with computers and typical software programs.

EQUIPMENT USED: Typical processing equipment; typical office equipment, computer, bar code scanner, digital camera.

SKILLS/APTITUDES/TEMPERAMENTS:

Ability to communicate in basic oral and written English; ability to communicate in basic Spanish desirable.

Ability to understand and accept directions and follow procedures.

Ability to perform routine work, adapting to change as it relates to work flow without loss of efficiency.

Ability to maintain self-control and work in cooperation with co-workers.

Ability to coordinate eyes/hands/fingers to quickly and safety manipulate and handle items.

Ability to examine items and visually differentiate between them based on quality standards.

Ability to perform duties independently with limited contact with co-workers and the public.

Ability to meet and maintain established production and quality standards, as communicated by the supervisor.

Ability to provide excellent customer service per Goodwill Central Coast guidelines and procedures.

Ability to demonstrate satisfactory attendance, according to Goodwill Central Coast policy.

Ability to adhere to safe work practices as documented in Company safety policies; ability to report safety hazards/accidents promptly to supervisor or safety committee member.
