VOIP/Telephony SW Engineer Looking for a solid Telephony engineer who is skilled with VOIP (NOT speech to text). This person should not be someone with only Cisco experience. This role will need to focus on someone working on open standard protocols. Examples are skype, Whatsapp, Google voice team, etc. VOIP, SIP, Telephony, Integration and Coding are the keys on this role. This person will work with internal and external partners to ensure high performance & reliable voice and data solutions are developed and launched.

Scope: • Support in design/implementation of telephony related products/services. • Work with other teams to scope & launch new services/features. • Debug/fix complex bugs reported during integration & field testing. • Propose & implement various performance optimizations across the companies solution set. • Work with 3rd party vendors to deliver & integrate solutions for the benefit of our customer base.

Required: • Degree in CS and some solid work experience. • Coding experience in Java. • 5 years' experience deploying high scale voice systems in Service Provider Spaces. • Experience with VOIP, SIP, RTP & other real time communication protocols such as WebRTC. • Experience in Telephony, VoIP Protocols & APIs, G.711, H.323, SIP, VoLTE, RCS.

Pluses: • Experience integrating 3rd party services with internal systems. • Enjoys designing scalable systems, writing solid code, learning new things & solving difficult problems. • Strong background in designing, developing, implementing & deploying highly available/scalable VoIP infrastructures across different environments. • Experience with C/C and/or Go.
