- Proficient in a11y requirements (e.g., WCAG)
- Review a11y compliance documentation supplied by product teams
- Determine whether open a11y bugs should block a product or feature launch
- Work with teams in tracking blocking a11y bugs to resolution
- Testing/verifying bugs using assistive technology (e.g., screen reader)
- Provide recommendations to a11y Googlers on which launches meet launch requirements
- Proficient in a11y requirements (e.g., WCAG)
- Manage the VPAT end-to-end process
- Identify 3rd party to perform VPAT
- Create & track RFQs
- Issue & track POs
- Track and push forward the multiple VPATs status simultaneously
- Report the status of the VPATs to stakeholders
- Track the a11y issues raised in the VPATs and follow up with the product teams to resolve the issues
- Review the VPATs. Work with stakeholders to update the VPATs to ensure the accuracy of the VPATs
- Obtain approvals from stakeholders before publishing the VPATs
- Work with teams to publish the VPATs
- Draft blog posts to announce the VPATs and highlight the a11y features of the products
