You will work with security operations, IT leadership, and the communications teams to develop a capability for (rationally) reviewing, assessing, and reporting on adversarial activities and describing the actual impact to Pure Storage.project deliverablesWorking with IT & corporate comms, setup a site for publishing finished researchDefine and document an approach for promoting published informationPublish 2-3 Client reports for security team, sr. leadership, and posted to the security intranet site describing current actors posing a potential threat to PureAn analysis approach that the IR team should follow when researching potential, un-materialized threats (e.g. UNC2452 "SolarWinds", or Supermicro "hardware compromise")l research methodologyl documented approach for identifying & addressing FUDl format for delivering facts to our stakeholdersWeekly activitiesWeek 1Get a good feeling for the businessReview the work of well-known cybersecurity journalistsWork with Security Operations to define what comprises "Strategic Threat Intelligence"Week 2Interview employees regarding the business, any concerns or open questions they have, what their day-to-day looks like, etc.Weeks 3-4Investigate and summarize 2-3 threat actors that may pose a threat to PureReview the summarized report with the team, gather and incorporate feedbackWeeks 5-7Devise and document an approach for threat research and analysisWeeks 8-10Setup a site for publishing the informationTrain the Cyber Defense team on researching and publishing informationWeek 11Present project overview, outcomes, and deliverables.
