Infrastructure Software Engineer Location: Mountain View, CA 6 months Contract Responsibility:

  • The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and run a variety of Benchmark models (Big Data, Federated Learning, Storage, Compute (GPU, CPU, etc.) and compared their costs and performance.
  • Requirements-gathering, architecting, and designing infrastructure systems and tools.
  • Developing software systems in Python, Go or C.
  • Developing platforms and frameworks to automate experiment and technology processes.
  • Integrating best-of-breed tools and technologies such as Spark, Kafka and deploy on container platform such as Docker and k8sCreate academic publications and invention disclosures.
  • Research, evaluate and implement (or develop) data generator tools that are capable of generating trillions of events with variety of formats.
Qualifications:
  • Master or Ph.D. holder in Math/Statistics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Required skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations or infrastructure software engineering.
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental infrastructure including network, compute and storage.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, AIOps, and DataOps would be helpful.
  • Possess detail knowledge of operating system fundamentals, as well as experience in the design of libraries and software systems.
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Go or C and experience with usual binary formats
  • Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Familiarity with existing open-source software packages and the DevOps toolchain
  • Experience with Linux distributions (e.g. RHEL/CentOS).
  • Be an analytical thinker with exceptional problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to learn and explore new research areas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a highly motivated team environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to respond professionally in all types of situations
