US Tech Solutions is seeking a
Release Engineer” for a 12 Months contract position with a client in Mountain View, CA. Job Poster: Karan Madan Position Description:· First Line triage of incoming issues, identifying new issues as potential release blockers, with the goal of getting to a ready to go build.· Do initial debugging to identify which team the issue lies in and route.· Follow-up with on call for blocking bugs.· Ensure that the release cut goes smoothly and handle necessary cherry picks to get release unblocked.· Initiate builds via Rapid, and watch for pass/fail.· Provide initial triage when builds fail.· Communicate build status to leads.· Push builds to different channels when approved by leads.· Update documentation as program evolves.· Produce daily and weekly reports.· Develop and enhance tools and scripts to streamline and automate our build and release process.· Help with short projects.Skill/Experience/Education:Mandatory:· 4-5 years’ experience in Software Debugging and QA & Testing.· 4-5 years’ experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.· Tack-sharp analytical abilities, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.· Fluent written and non-written communication. Desired· Experience leading short projects. SQL and/or MySQL experience. Scripting.
