Location: Mountain View, CA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer III
This job will have the following responsibilities:- Understand, design and implement new features for hardware drivers
- Familiarity with device drivers, SDK's, ability to read and understand hardware specifications
- Discuss and design algorithms with other engineers
- Implement new algorithms with clean codes and unit-tests
- Follow a discipline of testing and diagnosis when adding new features, or diagnosing old issues
- Provide engineering support to operations
- Collaborate with operations, and help with creating processes and simple documentation of processes.
- Run the process and diagnose any failures. Identify root causes. If needed, formulate plans for mitigation, discuss with engineers, implement corrective changes.
- Experience in working closely with hardware, writing embedded software.
- Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot.
- Good understanding of any of the following: Robotics (hardware, kinematics), Camera Hardware Good communication skills
