Once reviewed, a member of our employee relations team will reach out to you with a determination.The Principal Engineer, EMC reports to Vehicle Development team and is responsible for the testing/simulating and validating of the EMC performance of Lucid Air and other programs, assisting all domains during certification road map, this position will work closely with Infotainment, Powertrain, Power Electronics and Battery team. The Role:- Review and define target requirements (Functionalities)
- Standards generation and/or modifications
- EMC component risk assessment
- EMC component review and results approval
- Make correlations between Simulations and Measurements.
- Early design verification for future developments (modeling and simulations)
- EMI Risk evaluations
- Vehicle test plan evaluation and its conditions (requirements)
- Vehicle test modes and its severity
- Functional Status Classification and its requirements is a plus
- Define laboratory requirements for pre-compliance and compliance testing
- Perform EMC development and validation tests as necessary
- RF antennas evaluation during EMI/EMS testing
- Connectivity verification (interoperability conformance)
- ADAS testing using echo generator at EMC laboratories
- Support lab design and construction
- Be part of EMC community
- HV & LV coupling strategies
- Grounding strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, Master's or PhD preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience, automotive preferred
- Expert knowledge of industry EMC standards and SEC regulations
- Past knowledge in HV components
- Experience testing high speed components
- iNARTE certified as design or test engineer is desired
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Positive attitude, proactive mentality, responsive and strong work ethic is 100% required
- Minimal domestic travel to test sites may be required
- Familiar with ITAR compliance
- Familiar with VCA certifications for different destinations
