We are currently seeking a mechanical engineer responsible for supporting the ADAS mechanical packaging on vehicle and test fixture design for ADAS verification.
  • Your Role:

  • Design and Release electromechanical assemblies for ADAS components including radars, lidars, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors
  • Lead cross functional activities for sensor components including CAE analysis, tolerance analysis, durability, environmental reliability, assembly etc
  • Create detailed 2D drawings with GD&T to communicate dimensional requirements to suppliers and cross functional teams
  • Perform vehicle packaging studies related to ADAS sensors to meet mechanical, electrical, and perception requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and trade-off discussions with other teams including design studio, exteriors, interiors, aerodynamics, perception, systems engineering etc
  • Manage ADAS systems, subsystems, and components information (HW and SW) through leading the release of Parts in PLM environment (CATIA/3DX)
  • Lead root cause analysis for and close quality issues for components arising from packaging, vehicle integration testing, durability, manufacturing, serviceability etc.
  • Work with purchasing, supply chain, and supplier quality to develop supplier sourcing agreements and documentation leading to PPAP
  • Work with Tier 1 suppliers to understand mechanical system integration for supplier components
  • Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working as a mechanical design engineer
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software. CATIA/3DX preferred
  • Experience designing parts for electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience creating detailed 2D drawings with GD&T
  • Experience with CAE tools like ANSYS
  • Knowledge of Thermal, Shock, and Vibration testing
  • Rapid prototyping experience
  • Advantageous:

  • DFMEA Experience
  • Knowledge and experience of plastic injection molding
  • Knowledge of vehicle build and electrical harnessing
