As the successful candidate, you will join a world-class Autonomous Driving/ADAS team. Candidates should be excellent engineers and organizers that have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.
  • The Role:

  • Be responsible for the software and algorithms that make the vehicle complete the parking maneuver in a safe, accurate, and reliable manner
  • Design reusable and optimized the motion planning software architecture for Lv.2/3/4 autonomous parking systems
  • Develop high performance motion planning algorithms with low latency
  • Design, prototype, engineer, test, release, and launch the state-of-the-art motion planning software stacks into the Lucid production programs
  • Implement high-quality automotive grade software code compliant to automotive quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure a seamless and robust implementation and deployment of motion planning products for autonomous parking systems
  • Lead the data-driven triaging and algorithm development process
  • Maintain alignment through effective communication
  • Support the production verification and validation of the motion planning algorithms using prototype vehicles and pre-production vehicles
  • Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in programming/scripting languages such as C/C and Python
  • Experience in developing Matlab Simulink model
  • Previous experience as a software engineer delivering results within large-scale or safety critical project environments
  • Comfortable with fundamentals of physics, probability and statistics
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Advantageous:

  • Strong knowledge of optimization theory or graph solving
  • Experience developing real-time systems
  • Experience solving problems with computational geometry
  • Experience working in autonomous driving, robotics, or car industry
  • Education and Experience:

  • MS in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Engineering or other related fields
  • Advanced degrees preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience including MS degree or 3+ years with Ph.D. in a related field
